Fantastic, clean interface. Intuitive control (both mouse and keyboard). Challenging puzzles. All win.

At first, it appeared that some clues were not showing up properly, if at all, but the second time I opened it up, everything was working perfectly. Over all, a great app!

Challening puzzles, excellent game design.

Really like the game, but find most of the ones that I have tried are a bit too hard for my level. Would really love to be able to select a difficulty level. Thanks! Wendy

Crossword Light is not light!! There is no progression for the beginner you’re just thrown into the deep end. Yes, there are clues, but what’s the sense, you just might as well just hit “reveal the entire puzzle”. I didn’t find it engaging at all.

Interface and graphics are great, nice to be able to navigate by either keyboard or mouse. Puzzles are quite difficult - havent finished a single one successfully yet. Part of the problem is the clues are very vague, and there are a lot of multiple-word clues that are not specified as such, so you never know if the solution is one word, two words, a phrase, or an entire sentence. Some of the clues repeat across puzzles. Names of the puzzles dont seem to indicate any sort of theme or relation to the puzzle clues or answers. Good options such as clear errors, get hints, reveal letter/clue, etc. Good to sit down and noodle at for a while, but not really that satisfying if you cant solve the puzzles.

I worried for months about spending $10 for the Crosswords paid program for my iPhone 4. I finally committed to the expenditure when they offered me syncing of my work onto my computer, where I could continue my puzzles. In attempting to set up syncing, after several hours of work, I suspected something was wrong. Boy, was there! The Crosswords program does NOT sync with your computer. You cannot coordinate your puzzles with this program. It turns out you must buy a SECOND program for $20, and then those two programs can supposedly link. I thought $10 was a lot, but after the fact, this company believes that that is only a good start for expenses. Dont believe the advertising. Plan on buying everything. Im very unhappy and have found StandAlone Inc to be disreputable.

I downloaded the program and not only can I not open a puzzle, I cant delete the program. Went to the support site and cant find anything there either. Any suggestions?

I love crosswords, and this one is good, but very difficult. It uses overly complicated clues, and sometimes its impossible not to press the hint button. Overall, I would like something a little easier to work with...

I like this app, overall. It gets my brain thinking, but some of the clues are poorly written and dont seem to have anything to do with the answer. You might want to work on that...

These puzzles are good but very, very hard & I am an expert crossword puzzle solver--I do them all the time & know a lot of obscure clues that are used but some of these are ridiculously hard! I have one question--I just downloaded this app so where do I find the hint button, clues button, erase error button,etc. I only see the puzzle with NO options on it! Thanks!

I got the lite version and the after i left it and tried to get back in it doesnt let me. it is so annoying.

I agree with most users, the graphics and interface are great but the puzzles are either too hard or they are not thought out. I would suggest that they create and designate puzzles based on a level. ie. easy, medium, hard or note in the description that they will all be difficult so people know ahead of time. I also dont think Crosswork Light is a good name. Light implies (for me) that the puzzles are easy. I like to be challenged but when youre looking up practially every clue, its frustrating.

The interface and options are very good. Its one of the best crosswords programs I have seen on store. It may be tough for novice or beginners to play on this.

I used to be able to see the numbers in the squares; now I cant without a magnifying glass. Also, your answers now appear in a light grayed-out effect. It was nice to be able to do the NY Times crossword on the computer, but I give up now. Im not completely blind; my vision isnt the best, but I can read normal type just fine with glasses. This app on my 11" Mac just isnt working for me. There is a "zoom" function, but it only seems to make the app screen wider; the numbers do not become any easier to read. Just too frustrating.

Since when is IGETIT a 6 letter word for “Real funny…”??? Last I checked, I GET IT, are 3 separate words. This game is full of this kind of stupidity.

Downloaded it, but it wont open, crashed my MacMini, says its installed but cant find it. Dont waste your time, even if its free.
